Indonesian citizens living in China; or Indonesian companies operate in China, will understand that they have the full access to the Protocol and Consular Division, as its main task, among others is to protect, and to provide them in need with help and assistance. It also provides legal assistance and consultations on human resources- related matters, including mediation, and good wishes to settle disputes.

Matters like citizenship, repatriation, deportation, mutual-legal assistance, are among matters to be handled by Consular Division. It also provides services in legalizing documents issued by Chinese authorities, or institutions, to be used in Indonesia. Chinese companies will need their documents legalized before further formalities in Indonesia. Aside from providing the above mentioned services, Consular Division also provides services for passport and visa related matters, citizens’ arrival; or departure report, certification of marriage, birth, and death.
